Its not often that I feel like I can out pace someone in my 260E, but today was a pleasant surprise. Some kid in a "P" tagged Holden ute was tailgating me with his lights on, clearly I was just in his way driving the speed limit and all. There is a roundabout in front of the entrance to the neighborhood I live in and I used it to lose him on. You have to go essentially 3/4 of the way around to get into the neighborhood. I decided against a brake shot as they can be disasterous, instead I went in hot at about 40kmh and accelerated out of the roundabout leaving him way behind and having to accelerate hard to catch up. There is a frontage road that all of the houses have out front to drive on for parking and to get to your garage. I just nonchalantly glided up the entrance while "P"inhead had to come to a crawl as I entered my block.

Childish? Kinda. Gratifying? Entirely.

P= Provisional (I think).

As in Northern Ireland when you pass your test you must display an "R" (restricted) plate for one year. This restricts your max. speed during that year to 45 mph, but there are no other restrictions.
