So who are you insured with

5 cars with service underwright £960 a year fully comprehensive

Sent from my iPhone using MBClub UK

Adrian Flux. I needed insurance in a hurry, no faffing about with "I'll have to contact the underwriters" on a modified (allegedly - the MSL dyno says it's not; still firking quick, though...) E55K. Armannaleg; £500 Fully Comprehensive. It turned out my then insurers would do the same for £300, tuned as claimed. I won't renew with Adrian Flux...

Churchill wanted almost £400 this year ! I got the exact same cover with the AA for £240.

Why do they all have to try it on with the renewal price each year? Load up the premium extra this and that to inflate the price and hope you are lazy enough to let the polocy automatically renew.

Sadly, many people do just that !!

I'm with Chris knots 440 but they did say if I get a better quote like for like they would match it

Got a good quote from hasting direct £350 but Chris knots matched it so worth having a shop round

The Mercs are with Aviva. looks like I will be sticking with them as reasonable renewal just recieved.
300d and 230te @20k each per year inc business use and courtesy car plus both S classes at 1500 miles private use only.
Me and swmbo covered on all cars, both under 30y/o (:eek:only just for me:eek:) and with not much ncb due to company cars.
(And still ongoing claim with uninsured driver incident)
All for £1100. Cant really complain! They are always decent to deal with on the phone!

Changing from Tesco to Aviva. £210 v £380. No doubt Aviva will gradually increase as new customers usually receive an introductory offer.

Classic Line... w219 hardly a classic.

Elephant. Third year now. Minimal increase changing from 2003 c270cdi to 2009 E280cdi.

Just changed from swift to Hastings at £195 for the year. I don't think it will ever be as cheap as this again.

Direct Line multicar for RR and SLK
E36 with Classic line.

Tried Direct Line yesterday and they want over £1000 for my 2001 CLK with 5000 limit. I'm over 40 with 15 years no claims bonus with a clean licence. Just tried Carole Nash and they qouted £950 for same car.

Anyone else with an old CLK getting good prices on insurance?Frustrating is not the word, but it begins with 'F'!

Have you tried LV.com? I have a year 2000 E320CDI estate insured with them for circa £330 fully comp with 9 years NCB. The premium would be circa £250 were it not for a recorded modification to the exhaust (as we had a custom stainless steel exhaust fitted to the car).

Just renewed my W221 S500 for £399 with MB/ Aviva. Tried to knock them down even more but they would not go any lower, but could send me some goodies so they sent me a SL Key ring, pen and a MB polo shirt. Well pleased. Previously with Swinton/Aviva their renewal was £578.00

Also just renewed R107 SL300 with Classicline for £196.00. Previously with Adrian Flux. There renewal was £398.00. Doesn't seem to be any consistancy with quotes nowdays, seems that they rely on customers not bothering to get alternative quotes.
