The title isn't a tongue-twister... or, it isn't meant to be!

Essentially, as some of you know, I'm a sysadmin at a school. Lately, I've been getting alot of requests to install software we already own on more machines.

My current software licence management system involves a large binder and quite a bit of paperwork... (a hand-down from the previous guy).

I'm considering whacking together a quick database to manage the software licences (number of seats, expiry date, etc) but was wondering if anyone knows of a good/interesting bit of software out there that does it for you...

Thanks,
M.

How ironic you'd mention FM... that's the database system we use!

I had dabbled with it in version 6, but we recently moved to v9 server (and 10 client on some test machines) and I haven't had a chance to play with it properly yet... this seems like a good opportunity!

P.S. I like your handle :p Even though I'm not a fan of the band :p

Yups - we have some of our IT team playing with Bento; we're trying to introduce it to the younger kids as a database software...

As for Spinal's - the Killer Instincts one was better :p
