Software update

Hi everyone,

My local MB dealer has offered a software update for my w203. The offer came through the post. Has anyone else received one of these? My only concern is that if the software gets upgraded then my local Independent MB garage won't be able to diagnose any faults with his version of Star. Can anyone offer any advice please?

I was very keen on software updates for my w203 at the time, however the advice I got said don't do it unless there's a problem you are trying to fix.

It seems that the transmission update in particular may 'hang' halfway through the process and mess-up the box.

As for STAR, the update is done using STAR and there should be no issue for it to connect to the updated software.
