Depending on whether you have 4 way temp control or not the rest button will either be

1. A/c off REST

or

2. Right hand temp control will have REST in center

Yes I do have .......1. A/c off REST :bannana: so I take I use this function to operate ?

THE PENNY DROPS! The Rest button uses residual heat to heat the car after it's turned off, "for up to 30mins, or until the voltage drops". It doesn't have an LED indicator in mine to show if it's on. I wonder if that's why I used to get battery convenience warnings? It better bloody not be after 4 ECUs and £2k!!

I was just guiding you to the REST button, just for clarity I dont think the
REST button works the cooling supplied by the solar panels from what it says in the manual it just works.
I think you will have to wait for a very sunny day, sit in the car and lock the car. Make sure you deactivate the interior sensors so you dont set off the alarm and wait for 2 mins and the blowers should start.
If that doesn't work I dont know how they work

If you have the original service book there should be a card stapled to the last page. This is the datacard and lists the factory build info, all the options etc. as SA codes.

Datacards can be generated from the VIN, some on here have access to the MB database.
