Went to a local Indoor Market yesterday to spend some money locally.
Parked behind a row of cars on the road outside.
Had a reasonable time, came out and someone had reversed into the front of my car!
No note, nothing.
What a ****er.
Hopefully I'll get away with just the big star and black sunken holder.
Ordered from ebay yesterday.
Cost to me under 30 quid.
I've done this before, but left a note and just paid cash, when they've had a local repair. It's never much, and keeps insurance right.
Why do scummy people do this?
My blood is still boiling today!

Sorry to hear about that and I hope it is easy to sort out.

Worse still IMO when these inbreds deny crashing their car door into your car and the same parasites are often ready to argue.
These inbreds lare often jealous of what you have, as in my experience, their car is often a banger.

Thank you, it looks like the star took the brunt, along with the big black concave piece. Ebay have just asked for a photo of my grille to be certain, and then two minutes later have confirmed it's being posted.
It's a push and twist fitting, and arrives tomorrow for £29. Can't really beat that. The Mercedes badge is in 2 parts, one part is over £100 alone, so I'll risk this.
May well be made in the same Indian/ Chinese facility?
The messy bits are where I tried to use epoxy to repair it, and failed!

I hate the carelessness of people! P!sses me right off.

Hopefully not too expensive a repair OP but worth investing in a dashcam you can keep running for occasions like this. Catch the scumbags.

We can all make a mistake.....its not the impact that would annoy me......its the f***ing off without leaving a note.
Many years ago I saw someone hit another car in a car park, then get out and leave a note behind the wiper on the damaged car. After they drove off I walked over to look at the note, which said something on the lines of "A nosey sod is watching me to see if I'm leaving my details. Well I'm not, so f***both of you." I wrote beneath it "This nosey sod noted his registration details, which are XYZ123 [or whatever]"

Ouch! That's gotta hurt and it's not just the damage, inconvenience or cost of course, but the fact that these idiots on the road do the damage and get awa with it, probably laughing as they drive off too.

A friend had his stunning Jag hit a couple of weeks back, absolutely seething he was, car's his pride 'n' joy, and the numpty had backed into it and just driven off.
One bit of good fortune came his way though, as the car had been booked in for some work to be done, and when he picked it up, the gent had sorted the dent out free and gratis for him, now that's what I call service and my old mate was well over the moon.

If you can get your hand behind some types of plastic bumpers, they'll pop out even without a hairdryer!
Jaguar and Ford both use this type of ABS plastic.

I was once sitting in my 200SX in Notting Hill parked behind an early LR Discovery. The Discovery fired up and I saw the reversing light come on. Then it started to get closer and closer so I started sounding my horn. By the time his tow hook was crunching into my front number plate I was leaning on it.

The dopey but arrogant guy got our, looked at the damage he'd caused and told me it was my fault "because he couldn't see me". Unbelievable......

I told him that if he hadn't been driving something designed to tow a horse box (in Notting Hill) he might have stood a change. I also suggested he paid me for a new front numberplate or we'd do it though insurance.

Ignorant arrogant self-entitled areshole.

That’s right as some plastic have there own memory when heated up goes back into shape

Not the SLK :( I sometimes wish my dash cam was on all the time, not just when driving.

My wife had one of those last month. A young lad reversed into a cul de sac without looking. My wife lent on the horn but he kept coming until stopped by the C-class. He said he didn't hear the horn - but his little sister piped up to say that she did. The grill was pushed in, but easily popped back into place. But there was a dent and small crack in the front bumper. I took the car to my local magic repair man who did an excellent job for £200, and gave me a big discount on curing the kerb rash sustained at Heathrow Airport many moons ago. The young lad paid the 200 notes immediately without any argument. I think he was more concerned about what his mum and dad said about his driving!

Yeah, that story has been doing the rounds for years now, many different versions of it.
