Something's been leaking from the car (w203) on to the driveway for a while now. I took it to the dealers, and they couldn't find anything wrong with it, saying that everything was perfectly fine from underneath.

But I noticed a few fresh stains on the driveway this morning. I have no idea what it is, as it doesn't really smell of anything. Any ideas folks?

Is it from your air-con? Which would normally be just water and therefore not stain, but is it diluting something else either on your drive or from the bottom of your car.

Is your drive slopped ? Maybe something is leaking when the car is at an angle and not when it's level.

Sounds like its slopped all over with stuff from his car ;)

I go with Pammy, its water from your aircon - there was a similar post yesterday.

Ah that's what it is...was baffling me for days! My driveway is indeed sloped.

Well the stains are still visible, so I'm guessing it's not just water as then it would have just evaporated?

Thing is I havne't been using the air-con at all... Is this still normal and what can I do about it?

Do you wash it a lot?. There are plenty of places underneath for water to remain and accumulate afterwards like the engine undertray/s and also the plastic guards under the general body work area.

You sure you havnt had the a/c on by default?. MB keep changing the indicator LEDs, on some models the LED 'lit up' indicates the a/c is on and, on others, its the opposite way round. I'd find the unit under the bonnet and see how cold the pipes are, you may be running a/c without knowing it;) .

Portzy.

have you checked the level of your power steering fluid? Not the obvious thing to check . . but my leak a while back turned out to be the fluid dripping away

No I haven't washed it for a while now. I might have the A/C on by default, but to be honest I still haven't figured out all the controls yet.

Where do i check for the power steering fluid? I had a look under the bonnet but couldn't seem to find it
