140 coupe with a 210 nose..... I would guess the owner lost the front part

It's a 124 coupe, not a 140

This photo has been taken from a 'good angle' they are hideous in the flesh and usually sell for much less than a comparable 'unmolested' model....because no one wants them.....

If you are going to buy it, check the shut lines carefully as the panels never fit together properly..... it can be literally 5-8 mm of difference from side to side on the headlight surrounds....

If i were you i would steer well clear .....

A few of these have shown up before. It's down to personal taste but I like it.

There are 2 ways to do it though, the fibreglass kit which looks and feels cheap or using genuine Merc panels which looks great if it's done right.

Depending on which way it's been done £3000 is not a bad price for the year and mileage. The conversion would have cost at least half that.

Yes I like it to.

My only problem with these (assuming they're done well - if not, I have any number of problems) is that the curvy front doesn't really match the more square back end.

I do believe that they should have built a W210 coupe (and convertible). Having said which, I think the 124 is a cracking looking car, and I don't know why anyone would want to change it. I've said it before; why try to gild a lily?

For what it is worth, I think the W124 Coupe has excellent proportions and the shape flows well (as if the shape was always intended to be a coupe) -

This front is rather like Princess Diana wearing a Princess Anne face-mask - you know that they are related, but one of them is good looking, the other is Princess Anne.

The w208 CLK was supposed to replace the w124 coupe and cabriolet, and it's styled to look like the w210 rather than the w202 that it was based on.

Yeah, but then they could have had a C class coupe (clk), and an E class coupe (w210). I think the w208 clk is a lovely car, but I still think they missed a trick...

Imagine having a small crash in that, you would never be able to repair it properly

If I want a plastic car I'll buy a Reliant.

I think that looks awful, I've seen one "in the flesh" and it looked worse. That angle is by far the most flattering :)

the W124 is a stunning car in coupe form with the pillarless windows why change it for the constantly startled look

ok , the dude that did that to the G wagen needs to be shot
