Hi all

I have got some 17" 8.5j's on my w208 clk cab. I just feel the rear wheels could do with bringing out around 20mm each side.

What are your views on placing some spacers. The following company seem to have the ones I want without having to have longer bolts.

Your honest views are welcomed.:)

because spacers are basically changing the offset of your wheels, you need to bare in mind that this is done acurately and not just by eye.You really need to know the offest of the orignal wheels and also of the ones you have bought. 20mm is quite a big spacer and because of this I would strongly advise that you use a hubcentric spacer

Sorry - Adding 20mm to a wheel and not having longer bolts is surely asking for trouble.

Bolts are designed to have so much "working thread" and to reduce this will alter the safety factor and may invalidate any claim if you have an accident.

So seek proffessional advice before fitting the spacers mate.

The spacers will have 10 holes, where 5 are used to bolt the spacer to the hub, and the other 5 used to bolt the wheel to the spacer using the original bolts. That price is quite cheap if its for 2 spacers plus the bolts so its worth asking them for a copy of the TUV application certificate before buying. Check that they are certified for the 208
