Does £185 plus vat sound reasonable, for a plug change on my (03) E320.
This is from an MB indy.

1.6 hours labour and about £5 each plug (12)

I was charged 2.5 hours labour to change plugs @ £60 per hour (plus vat) in July 2007.
The plugs were charged at £7.34 each plus vat ;12 of them!

Should have gone to Olly! he's only down in Horndean. never mind!

Do you have to remove the coil packs when changing the plugs on a V6? I had a look with the cover off and access looks to be tight in certain places :)

Also, is the MB tool for lead removal worth getting?

Anyone?

No need to buy the special removal tool. Get a cheap or spare 17mm offset ring spanner & cut the offset ring part in half. Making in effect a claw. You can use this to lever the plug leads off.
