Sprintbooster - Does exactly what it say's it does

There is useful stuff in this thread could the moderators merge it with big Sprintbooster thread?

But before I had mine fitted, say on switching lanes on a motorway to overtake , i used to push the pedal to the floor and the car would be quite lazy on the pickup.

With the sprintbooster, the pickup is there instantly.

Too sensitive? It will have to wait for a while - I've got a coolant leak to track down first...

Parking is very tight in my drive... it is not a direct in out affair either. How does the sprint booster effect tight slow speed manoeuvring?

You get used to it......I park in a very tight garage and reverse into it and have no problems whatsoever.

You do get used to it - might catch you out sometimes to start with but you soon adjust.

Even my blokey rates it!!

You let him drive your car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup!!!! Well if he isn't fit to I don't know who is  Guess it must be serious then   :D

Dunno, I decided to do something more interesting - counting the pixels on my screen.

:D

Inspired by your suggestion - and wishing to avoid work whilst appearing busy - I got up to 1,310,719 before I gave up

I went straight to the conclusion to see if it was worth looking at the previous pages.

If I have understood it correctly then the sprintbooster effectively makes the pedal more sensitive, so when first fitted it would feel as if the car is more responsive as you have not yet fully adjusted to the new sensitivity.

It also says that through the gears 70% of foot movement is giving 90% Plus throttle hence why when over taking you only need flex your ankle an inch to accelarate rapidly!

Hi Jay. No i brought it in Watford several weeks ago but fought shy of fitting it due to my technical inability. However, this morning i found the box in the kitchen cupboard and decided to have a go after following the pic's in the thread - after 15 mins job done - don't know why i didn't do it before. Initial thoughts - fantastic - especially watching the traction light up on take off.

If I fitted a sprintbooster to our this to out C220 (diesel automatic - 143bhp) would that have the same effect?

The car is dangerous (in my opinion) when trying to pull onto busy roundabouts from standstill due to the slow off the line performance.

I doubt it's any slower than my 230CE ;) and i don't have any problems in that ...

Just wait for a bigger gap , if you are shooting out into too small a gap , you are going to cause an accident , by forcing someone to hoof on their brakes ..
