Hey Guys,
Was just preparing some things in my 313 cdi 52 plate...
I had the engine running to keep the heaters on... Then I noticed that the engine didn't sound to good and sounded as if it was bouncing off the idle.
Went to the drivers seat and the idle needle was normal...
Pressed the accelerator and nothing... The van didn't respond at all...
Turned the engine off and tried to restart... and got this repeated clicking noise... the starter would not turn over at all... All the headlights were still working etc....
Now just as I've been typing this, my brother has managed to start the van using jump leads... (Not sure if it is a dead battery as the van was running when the problem occured).
Anyone know what the problem is? Possible alternator? What does the repeated clicking sound mean?
I need the van urgently so only have the rest of today to sort it out!
Any help would be much appreciated...
