Hi guys, 2015 Sprinter 2.1 OM651
Stopped for ten minutes then when attempted to restart the engine cranked but did not start. Turns over quickly, sounds like starter is turning but not much else.
According to diagnostic it is turning at 280 rpm and has cam / crank sync.
Fuel rail pressure is equal to desired.
On cranking it sounds a lot like a petrol engine with no spark plugs in it.
Previously no chain noise.
Tried a relative compression test which then showed minimal current draw when cranking which points to no compression.
Is it possible for chain to jump but still show cam / crank sync?
Maybe someone has a bright idea please?
