Can anyone recommend a starter jump pack?

Ideally one with a tyre inflator as it would useful to double it up so I can check/adjust the tyre pressure on the cars and motorbikes.

I hear the NOCO genius boost are quite good. I am looking to buy one myself and it has quite a few good features that can come handy. Check it out on amazon, there’s plenty of reviews you can read from.

Although it doesn’t have a tyre inflator, it’s not too bulky in that case and it can be stored it away nicely. You can have a separate tyre inflator as they are not that expensive.

Oddly enough I was just looking at those on the Halfords website.

They look so little. The GB40 @ £99 seems like it would do the job. They've come a long way since the ones that needed wheeling out on a sack truck :D

The problem I have buying one without a tyre inflator is I'd have to get one separate as that would need to be 240v as it gets annoying having to fire the car up to do the bike tyres. First world problems eh ....

Yeah the NOCO one is relatively small which is why I think it’s the one I am gonna buy as I can just store it in one of the compartments in the boot.

But yeah I know what you mean with your scenario as it could be annoying. But there are battery operated inflators too, check this one which I found after a quick search. One charge can apparently do 4 car tyres or 10 motorbike tyres. So for top ups once in a while should last a while. Have a look around see what else you can find...

I have the NOCO GB150 and it has not let me down. All of the variants have been on Amazon lightening deals lately so will probably be again soon

That’s good to hear, I’ve been looking at the GB70 which is rated for 8.0L Petrol and 6.0L Diesel engines which should be enough for my needs so I think that’s the one I’ll go for.

Yes the GB150 is over kill but last year on Prime Day or Black Friday it was circa 40% off so not a bad price. It easily started my 320 cdi when flat on more than one occasion without needing a recharge

I bought a Ravpower 18000mAh on eBay on a Black Friday deal for about 70 from memory maybe 2 years back. Been brilliant and have used it tons. Wanted one to jump start bigger engines and this had enough power for most.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've not bought one yet.

I've seen some that have a tyre inflator on but will probably go down the road of buying a jump pack - probably like the GB40 as that should start all the lot I have but maybe try to adapt it to run a 12v power outlet for the pump. if that makes sense.

I think the GB70 upwards allows you to connect a cig lighter socket, not sure about the GB40.

The GB70 was just under £120 only 3 days ago and if you're not in a rush, wait until black friday or at least until the next lightening deal for either model

Too many bad reviews on the Noco on YouTube for me.

There are loads of comparison videos which pursued me not go down the overpriced, underperforming Noco. I picked up a Car Rover jumper pack from Amazon and I am very happy with it’s performance.

Never had an issue with mine and I've used it a few times on my old car and a couple of friends' too. If it is bought from Amazon, their customer service is quite good. I guess it's down to the buyer. I've seen a thread slating CTEK and how they kept developing faults however most swear by them.

Thread revival.

Has anyone found any good deals on these, considering there's supposed to be sales on at the moment o_O

Funny, I woke up this morning at 4AM and checked my phone. Amazon was doing a deal on a Norco GB150 which is their big boy @ $225 so I bought it and went back to bed.

You just missed one...the GB70 and GB150 were both on offer on Friday, £130 and £207 respectively

I’ve been keeping an eye out for it but couldn’t see any deals. Was this on Amazon? Anyways I’ve just had another quick look and manage to find the GB70 at halfords from £170 down to £136 which seems decent but that’s on trade price only though if you have a trade card or know who someone has.

Yes. If you go to Amazon and on the item page scroll down, it gives you the recent prices and it shows there was a lightning deal on Black Friday.

Trade Card applications are easy, an invoice and card is all that is required with an email address, so a friend tells me anyway.
