Starter motor for Vito and other Mercedes models

Typical starter motor issues with my Mk1 Vito. Had a new starter motor fitted via Euro Car Parts about 18 months ago. It's always sounded funny, and was slow starting. Thought it was the battery, so bought a new battery, still the same, maybe a touch better.

Now the cold weather is here it's struggling again, and sometimes not starting. I asked a mechanic and he said the starter sounds as though it's struggling.

Looking at starter motors, I didn't realise they vary in price so much, for what looks exactly the same thing. Upon further investigation, there is a 1.4kw starter, and a 2.0kw starter. What is the standard kw starter for a vito? Would it matter if I used a different kw starter?

It looks like a Valeo starter, the most expensive, would be the better option to go for if I want it to start in the cold?

Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

Not sure of the rating of the Vito starter but I would go for the MB part not an after market one. It is a commercial vehicle and the MB starter would be up to it.

Genuine part is almost likely a Valeo anyway.
Service exchange is what make the price change.
New from MB parts is brand new and will be expensive.
