Mercedes E220 Estate W211
Hello

I'm looking for some advice on my Mercedes E220 W211 CDI (2005) Estate regarding the starting. Over the past 2 months the starting has taken longer to crank over before the engine will fire up but this is only when the engine is warm/hot. Starting from cold is fine.

I have checked the injector pipes and it’s as dry as a bone I have also check all the pipe work for leaks

I have had the car 8 years and its covered 350,000 miles without any issue before.

Just wondered if anyone has any ideas of a possible fault.

Sounds like to CPS is on the way out, classic symptoms.

Worth doing a pressure leak of test on the injectors

For the uninitiated: CPS = Cam Position Sensor.

Many Thanks, I will try both and get back to you with the result.
