Steering vibrate w210

dear all,

i have this kind of problem, the steering tends to vibrate when the car in d and stand still,. my first tough was the engine or gear box mount is broken. Is there any idea how to check the egine mount. the car is w210 year 2000.

I also have a steering wheel vibrate, w210 240 engine,at idle in drive, think maybe the idle speed is to low, about 650 rpm not sure what it should be,have a friend who can lift the speed up with his MB dignostic tool when i get round to it, try putting in drive foot on brake and lift the revs up very slightly and see if it goes away

Have a look at the serpentine belt, make sure its not flapping around?

This sounds like either a misfire or a ballancer shaft problem.

Dieselmen, i suspected the misfire, but i am not sure which cylinder, what the best bet, either to change the tht lead?.

Is there anyone knows where to find the replacement ht lead except dealer, or would perfer a performance one, for e200 year 2000.
