I know it's a long shot, but here goes.

I have liberated one of these wheels, the Personal Neo Grinta, from my local scrappy and want to fit it to my everyday 190E 2.6 - http://www.nardi-usa.com/Personal.htm

I don't have the boss and both Nardi USA & Nardi Italia aren't answering emails asking for info on a UK distributor of their products and/or availability of W201 bosses.

So,

1) Anyone by any chance have a boss for a Personal or Nardi steering wheel to fit a 190,

or.

2) Know of anywhere in the UK that would sell me the right bit?

Wheels often come up on ebay with a suitable boss and more often than not, if the wheel itself is nasty they go for very little money.

You do know that when that wheel is fitted you wont be able to read your speedo over about 40mph I assume.

Howard will no-doubt have something to add as he's been down a similar route.

No, I didn't know that. Do you mean the line of the wheel obstructs the view?

Personal wheels seem to be v. rare. There isn't one on ebay.co.uk while on ebay.com there are 4 pages of Nardi wheels & no Personals.

you can always get a local engineering company to make you a one off - all they need to check are a few measurements spline teeth/diameter of column, position of bolts to secure wheel and depth needed to ensure everything lines up properly :) In all honesty, It's not a big job and shouldn't cost a fortune. If you go down that route, you may even be able to solve the obscured dial problem by positioning the wheel exactly where you need it

Yes, it will be awkward to see the speedo as the wheel is so much smaller it obscures pretty much everything from 40 mph to 100 mph  ...

Most of these wheels have the same 6 allen bolts in exactly the same place ( same spacing ) , so if you can , I would just source a boss for your model of car for a momo or isotta (i got mine from www.potn.com who delivered next day for £35 , mines an isotta , you might even be able to get a boss from GSF , but i know they were discontiniung them) ..

I'm 99% certain that the allen bolts will line up !!

Good luck !

thanks Spike,

I saw that and have emailed the company 3 times in about the last week for a definite "Yes, it'll work" but had no response.
