Steering Wheel Swap - Success!

Soooooooooooo,
After going mad for a few weeks trying to swap the steering wheel on my 2015 E Class, I have finally managed it.

I went from this

To this

Everything works (including backlighting of buttons) .

I am V happy with the result, what does the panel think?

I went for a similar style for my little A200 - had to be a custom re-trim, as no OE variants were available for the W169, just waiting now, as it's being made ...

I'm either in town centre, often parked at St Johns multistorey, or at The Lakes on Bedford Rd (wife's office), so at most is 10 min from you

Mine won't have any paddles though - not that I wanted them - it's a CVT after all.

I'm sure they do - Jack was, I felt, rather surprised someone wanted a custom steering wheel for a W169 haha, and he didn't have any donor ones in stock.
W209 would be much more popular, for that sort of things, I should imagine.

Had a new steering wheel fitted this morning by Jack from Royal Steering Wheels - very nice chap, it was a pleasure to meet him in person.

Went from this:

Exactly as I wanted, extra thick and just lovely. Very pleased

Now, anyone wants to buy a standard W169 steering wheel in black nappa leather?
