My 2003 E320 W211 has a audio 20 radio cd and i have noticed thst there is also fibre optics involved can anyone say what the fibre does. As i am going in the morning to see about a new Alpine stereo to be fitted. Thanks.

Th fibre optics will connect to any optional audio components you have
a) CD changer
b) Phone system
c) Voice Recognition system (unlikely with Audio-20)
d) Harmon Kardon sound system (also unlikely with Audio-20)
If you have HK you will need a MOST adapter box to make it work
