Hi, I have just bought a Sept '01 A190. The stereo works great except I have no Radio. I thought it would be a simple matter of either the wrong ISO adaptor being used or the aerial connection loose.

Pull the CD player (I assume it's aftermarket as it's a Sony CDX-5000), and aerial is plugged in and the car's wiring is presented in an ISO plug! I assumed it would have a Quadlock... :dk: I guess then that the aerial amp is not being powered, so can anyone tell me which pin on the car side of the ISO I need to connect to the power out of the stereo?

Alternatively does anyone have the wiring diagram?

Thanks in advance.

Normally the blue one on the power plug. The aerial is in the tailgate roof section. The amplifier can be found under the rear roof trim. Best to check it there for a feed as it checks the wiring as well to the amp.

From the cars side it is normally pin A5, usually a black wire. A5 = ISO A, Pin 5 in power iso, usually distinguishable by the fact that all 8 pins are NOT populated, when compared to speaker iso where all 8 pins ARE populated. This was the case for a W203 c class, make sure you connect it to a switched live (usually red) from the head unit or better still if the head unit has it (most do) the remote live from the head unit which is usually blue.
HTH
Also sounds strange there is no signal at all.Would have expected a weak signal on some frequencies....
