Stiff steering and pulling left!

Hi, i have just bought my first mercedes from a non merc dealer. It is a C270 CDI with 91k, 53 plate and an Avantgarde model. It has just had an MOT and it got 2 advisories, "both suspension arm bushes deteriorated but no excessive movement" The tyres appear evenly worn but the car pulls slightly to the left. A friend has driven it and is under the impression that the steering is far too stiff. I agree that in comparison to his E300, R reg, it is, but i dont know if the advisories would be causing the problems. I dont want to go back to the garage without some idea as i dont want to get fobbed off. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a C270 and the steering is fine....not heavy or stiff.

I would get the car down to WIM in Chesham and get the suspension / alignment checked out and adjusted....this will cost you in region of £100. They are reputed to be one of the best in the country at this. They will tell you what is wrong, if anything.

Have you checked basics like the power steering fluid level first. If fine then i would look at the Power Steering Pump if it is still stiff as well as getting the suspension and steering linkages checked to see whats going on.
