Having given my car a clean - was shocked at the number of stonechips....have a MB paint stick - but doesnt really do the the job. Am I using it wrongly or is it a case of making do and saving for a bonnet re-spray...seems an extreme measure.

The secret is to build the paint up in layers, requires patience and time.
Trying to fill in a stone chip in one go does not work.

Must say I've never had a car that chips as much as my C Class. Mine is metallic red, with white primer, so they really show up.
I guess it must be the nano paint - as the chips are as if little chunks of the paint have been flaked off - they're not the deep star-crazed chips that other cars pick up.

Would you advise polishing it down after each fill?

Mine too, it seems to chip in a strong breeze!

Don't polish it between coats as that will leave some polishing oil on the paint and it wont adhere well .
Do you have a polisher ie porter cable or Meguiars?
