Strange beep when lights on

Hi all
Very frustrating problem with my dad's car. Firstly, the car is a 2008,w204 c180k with circa 45,000 on the clock bought from dealer about 3.5 yrs ago

Car has been flawless since and still is but there is this strange issue. When you get in the car and switch the engine on and the car is in 'P' all is good, as soon as your switch the lights on to automatic or side lights a continuous beep appears as if the parking sensors are going ape sh**. Furthermore, as you continue to drive the beeps get more frequent. However as soon as you brake a few time the beeps disappear until you get back in the car to drive again. As mentioned the car has rear parking sensors and the noise/beeps appear from there.

Any ideas? I'm so confused !

They are if they are only on the rear. I am sure Parktronic was always front and rear.
Then all bets are off as to the cause.

Nope you cannot turn the sensors off via a button.

Just disconnect them
