Strange brackets on the header tank

Well they're strange to me anyway....

Would anyone know what these two brackets on the header tank would be for.

One is clearly a cup holder.

Damn..... they must have fitted a 'murrican header tank in stead of an Orstralian one

I believe the right hand one (the cup holder... hahaha) is for a component which is part of the 'optional extra' Webasto programmable cabin heaters. An expensive item.

The left hand bracket must be for diesel cars as I have a part in situ on mine. Must find out what it is. :fail

Just been to check mine...



Evidently it's a Vacuum Pressure Converter Valve (A 000 545 05 27) though I'm none the wiser as to what it does.
