Strange engine noise

listen carefully at the front of the engine and try to determine if the noise is coming from the top of the engine (timing chain) or from the left hand side of the engine ( more from the supercharger assembly area ).

VERY CAREFULLY using a mechanic's stethoscope ( Or a long handle screwdriver ) may help in refining the area.

If you determine that its coming from the supercharger , loosen off the drive belt and run the engine , if the noise goes well at least how how found the area you need to focus on.

In my case its the Supercharger that rattling and needs to be replaced, have a spare ready just need the time ;-D

hope this helps

Thanks.
Finally i found what is causing the problem. :) It is the variable valve timing adjuster on the inlet camshaft. I have disconnected the cam adjusting magnets electrical connector and the noise disappeared. The adjuster needs to be replaced...
