Hey guys , my w210 e320 cdi has developed a strange noise from the front suspension. It can only be described as a sort of creaking/like an old bed noise  . Last month or so i changed both front springs & shocks plus also the anti roll bar bushes and drop links. Its been driving fine untill about 2 weeks ago this creeking started. If you bounce the car it makes no noise. If you go over a speed hump it makes no noise .But if i slow down for a speed hump or have my foot on the brake while pulling into my drive it makes the creaking noise :( Thought is might be a dry bush or something due to the very wet then hot weather we've been having but its still doing it . The disc's and pads are genuine and not that old either could it be the brakes rubbing on the discs or the calipers moving or something? Appart from this noise car drives very well .

Ideas anyone ?

Thanks

ohh err a dry bush?

Have a look at the lower ball joints. Is there any play?

thanks
The ball joints are the only thing i havent changed yet . Would they make the bed creaking noise ? car passed mot couple of weeks ago they didnt pick up the ball joints . Is there a secret way of checking them ? I got worried and thought it might be the spring perches but they look ok and the car i would imagine would have collapsed by now as i have done about 4000 miles with this creaking  Cant work out why it only does it when you brake . Cant make it do it any other way .

Start with the easy stuff and spray all the anti roll bar bushs and arm joints with wd40 and see what its like then.

Dont forget as you brake the wheels are trying to stop and the car is trying to go forwards so twisting the lower wishbone arms either side.

Or shock absorber.

would i be better spraying the bushes with silicone spray ? Isnt that better for rubber than wd40? .
Because i have put on new springs/shocks/antirollbar and droplinks would this have finished off my balljoints and wishbone bushes you think ?
cant belive mot tester didnt find anything he only looked at it 2 weeks ago :(
my car isnt knocking its sorta creaking bed spring noise . when i put on the new springs and shocks drop links etc i sprayed them with silicone rubber spray .
Do you think this might have worn off and making the sqeaky creek noise ?

Funny how old threads suddenly get resurrected, like this.

SMS78, did you ever get this resolved?
