As good of a condition that seems to be in, why would you buy that over a C36?

You can easily pick up C36s for £2500-3500...

Same could be said about almost any model,

Why did I buy an ML350 when I could have an ML55?
Why do I have a E320cdi when I could have a E500 ?
Wife has a B200Cdi which was more than any B200 turbo...

As for the inside thats like what was in the 2.5-16V 190E's etc... bit like the Golf Gti's of the same year. Sportline trim?

I agree with you entirely mate, it's just that whenever I look at cars I always see what the same sort of money can get me.
My reasoning being that the fuel figures aren't going to be to far apart and at that money I would rather drive a C36 than a C280...

Oops, I thought this was a C36, hence writing cheap! Guess not that cheap then. I think people would still go for this over a 36 sometimes - the insurance difference would make it worth while to some too.

190E Didn't have that tartan interior trim. Non-leather Sportline (like mine) has a much smaller and more subtle checkered pattern.
