Hi guys, is it possible to fit the supercharger from a W211 to my W210? What other things are different? Cooling, cams etc.?

Did a quick forum search but couldn't find anything. Thanks for any info :-)

Why can't you just do a complete engine swap ? They both share the same engine so yes it is possible.

Search on mb world

I can do an engine swap if that's the best way to do it. Just thought I'd see if I could just take the inlet manifold off and bolt the supercharger on which would be much easier ;-)

Not a simple job but anything is possible, we are exploring a couple of options for a customer that has a later 210 E55. Preferred route right now is to go with a Weistec supercharger kit.

It may be cheaper to buy a E55 komp and it will save the headache.
Don't forget a ecu change as well.

Found this post from kaype on MBWorld:

you should consider a few things:

- M113 N/A has 1:10 compression, S/C Engines have 1:9!
- The Oilpan IS NOT COMPATIBLE if you change the whole engine
- up to 06/00 Mercedes used ME2.0 ECU from 07/00 the upgraded to ME2.8 ... you need 2.8 for a propper ECU Tuning which is absolutly necessary for a S/C Modding
- ME2.8.1 from a M113 S/C will not work plug ´n play
- yo need a transmission which can handle the S/C Engine

just a few thinks i have in mind

greetings, Fabian ... also planing a S/C Mod

Also been reading that some aftermarket kits like Kleemann need intercoolers, extra radiators and secondary fuel pumps/in-tank pump mods, bigger injectors and so on. 100 shot of nitrous is starting to look like a better option

The beauty of aftermarket kits (like KLEEMANN) is that they are bolt-on kits with everything supplied for trouble-free installation. That's fine if you want to go custom but there's a lot more to it than just sourcing a blower. KLEEMANN sold hundreds of kits for a reason. Their R&D meant you were getting an out of the box solution that just worked. After all you want to enjoy driving a car with all new power, not spend time and money constantly trying to adjust fueling, cooling or worrying that your engine might detonate from all that added boost. Pre-ME2.8 ECU are a pain to tune and supplying fuel to now 80-100HP stronger engine is another issue, hence the secondary fuel pumps in these setups. There's also a reason there are not many swapped-55k cars running around. If it was easy or cheap or even made sense, everybody would do it.

Okay. Sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth. Thanks for the info guys!

I've got a spare E55 engine which will be out of my old car soon so I might try making some manifolds while it's out of the car. Will be much easier to work on. I've heard people stateside saying they're worth 40-60bhp? Anyone got any links/info/pics of Kleemann or other performance manifolds/exhaust systems?

I have a SC kit from HPS on my 55 engine in a C43. Its rapid to say the least. Budget 7k for a good build.

Supercharger kits for N/A cars are a good fun. There's a certain element of surprise when an old motor pulls next to a modern sports car and completely annihilates it. As BlackC55 said, the conversion is not cheap but if it's your thing then it's totally worth it.

Re Exhaust Manifolds. KLEEMANN quotes 10% increase in performance which was about right when I had a set on my ML55.

Aye I'm new to this forum here but to fishmk1 it is possible but it's alot of work I have a 2006 e55 supercharger on my 1999 e55 n/a car I love it

Yes I do I have videos pics and alot of sweat I just don't know how to post pics or videos but the build was very very complicated but I have a button for my nitrous and supercharger so I can use them only when I need versus the w211 e55 that activates under acceleration

I do all my own work so the whole package cost me not even $3000

Hey bending, sounds great, where are you from?

Yeah show us some pics! I saw a video of a W210 with later s/c on Vimeo, that yours?

I have a complete charger coming off soon too :)

Hi first post on here, theres a chap in the states and he dropped the whole 55k engine into his c43 and used w210 55 box, it ran on the stock ecu in his c43. I know he encountered few proboems getting it to boost. So changing complete ecu would be best option if changing complete lump.

Personally ive gone down hps route but I know that the charger from komp engines is possible even as a bolt on.
