suspension sag over night.

Last couple of cold mornings I have come out to find my car sat right down on the blocks. Once I unlock it it starts to raise back to normal ride height. All the other suspension functions seem to work ok. Is this normal or is it going to be a trip back to the garage?

I've noticed the back end of mine sitting low the last couple of mornings as well

If it's not the pump then it might be the valve block leaking.

Get it onto STAR.

Yes just the back end on mine too. Will have another look in the morning. If ut done it again I shall be back in touch with the garage.

Usually an indication that a leak is-----developing! Important to get it checked out fairly quickly as it probably means the pump is having to work "overtime" to keep things " on the level". This will put an additional strain on it leading to possible premature failure. Then you will have to renew the pump and find the leak that caused its demise!

also as in my case the rear suspension reseviors corrode and start leaking, get the soapy water spray out and get it on a flat ramp (not a 4 poster), also STAR

It seems to sit ok at work. Set it to the highest setting today and still seems to be there. It has not dropped. Suppose 12 hours over night makes the difference.

It seems to be sitting lower every day. Not sure its supposed to sit this low.

if your overnight parking space is not level, the suspension will sag more as it tries to level itself.

Its pretty level. Just the camber on the road

Back to normal ride height after the drive home. As soon as I press the key fob it starts to raise back up.

Car has gone back to have this checked out.
All the mechanicals are apparently ok. He then told me a seal was the cause. .......but... the car had been sat on a level ramp in the workshop all weekend and not moved. He is now telling me its the cold weather thats causing the sag. Surely mb would have thought of that when designing the vehicle. Very odd!!!!!

does anyone know where the relay and fuse is located for the Cls 55 airmatic

Thanks

Look in your fuse map.

I would suggest that your airmatic valve block is leaking through the alloy due to corrosion.

I had that on my W220. It sat down overnight and came back up in the morning.

The pump eventually burned itself out. A new pump made no difference to the issue but a new valve block solved it.

At over 10 bar system pressure, you would no doubt hear any leak from a defective seal.

Ok. Well I will speak to the garage tomorrow. No faults coming up on star and it has not dropped the whole time its been there.

All sorted. It needed recalibration.
