I have a 2006 merc Vito W639. I've had an intermittent fault where the tailgate wouldn't unlock from the fob. I replaced the lock and worked fine for a while. Then fault returned. Tried a new lock and now it won't lock or unlock. No response to the key fob or internal button to lock/unlock. Tried putting the old lock back in and same issue. Any suggestions? With the age of the van I don't want to be spending a fortune on an auto electrician.
