Hi All. I'm having a problem with the electric opening of my tailgate on my 2010 w212 estate. When triggered to open either with the internal release or the handle on the tailgate it stops when quarter open. If I press the tailgate handle again it will open fully. It opens fine when opened manually and I have lubricated all moving parts well. Any ideas? Thank you.

Pressing and holding the button until you hear a beep ,teaches in its position, try it .....
Check the handbook - as above this is a feature on many MBs e.g. there may be a height restriction where you normally park so you don't want the tailgate to open fully and hit something.
