Tel & console issues

Hi. New member so apologies if covering old ground. Have just got a 2000 E430 estate.
1. Has 3110 cradle and have searched for answers: seems a straight swop for the newer cradle is possible and then use Viseeo mbu 1000. Is the swop easy (i.e. unplug the old, plug in the new) and what should I expect to pay?
2. Comand cd player just says 'unable to read CD' for both Sat Nav and music cds. Needs a clean or more?
3. Outside temp and clock gauges not working - should I just hit it with a hammer? (I'm not too competant).

The outside temp could be a blown bulb at the back of the clocks , or the pixels could be going , its acommon issue with 210 clocks . Theres a DIY fix , do a serch on this fourm sould find the info

1. AFAIK no on the fixed curly wire cradle you cant swap them for another without changing the phone controller too.

2. Try a cd cleaner if it doesnt work seems the lasers gone.
