Car
clk 320 w208
Hi,

As a disabled person I find working on cars very difficult so when I need work done I have to save up and then get it done at a garage. When I got my CLK 320 W208 I started searching for a really good independent garage. By per chance I read on here of Mr Locks and I decided to try them as they are about thirty miles from me.

I cannot thank this site enough for directing me to Mr Lock as the work is fantastic and the pricing excellent. Yep I have to say if you need a great Mercedes person that you could not do any better than going to this garage. I cannot praise it enough.

I am so impressed that I will not allow anyone else to work on my car and even as I write this I am having more work done to bring my car nearer to the car I have always wanted.

So thanks Mr Lock I am so happy with all you do.

Another thanks

Hi,

In the orignal post I told you that my Clk was back to Mr Locks for more repairs. Once Again I am really thankful I found Mr lock as the car is now getting back to the way it should be thanks to this garage. He is fantastic and as you can guess I am over the moon with the work he did.

Once again Mr Lock thankyou for all youi have done.

I have a colleague who uses locks and he also gives him very high praise and reasonable prices. As he is fairly local to me my car is going their next time it due a service. Happy customers are better than flashy dealerships.

I know this is an old thread, but because of reading it my wifes W210 E320 is booked into H A Lock tomorrow. They will (hopefully) sort out the rear wiper issue that I have had since buying it, it has driven me mad to be honest, but I am guessing that with the correct diagnosis tools it will be a straightforward (and I hope not to expensive) repair. I would like them to have a poke around the front end to find the knocks that show up when going over bumps (and don't we seem to have a lot of them???) and I am hoping that a few inexpensive bushes will sort that out :)
I will report back afterwards

I went to HA Lock as I had said on Tuesday morning. We left the car with a small list of jobs including an oil and filter change, + air and fuel filters to be changed, apparently the filters were in dire need of replacement, I wonder when they were last done? Not good for a supposedly well looked after car. We asked them to sort out the front suspension as it was knocking a lot, the previous owner has told me the his maintenance people, down south somewhere, had advised him that it needed a couple of bushes replacing, so I was expecting a simple job on this point. It transpires that it needed 2 new drop links so that was easy, however it also had not one but two broken road springs..... How horrified were we?
I asked it these springs had broken recently and was told that one of them was rusty at the broken end so must have been broken for a considerable time???? How can this happen on such a well maintained car, that specifically had had the suspension checked.
Now we get to the meat of the visit, the failed rear wiper. Well again the naughty fairies have been playing. The reason that I am not getting a signal to the rear wiper is because some numpty has fitted a central locking pump for a saloon car in the past. This PSE has no output for the rear wiper, so of course no signal. I have now replaced the PSE only to find that the wiper motor itself isn't a happy bunny, so I now also need to replace that item as well. £500+ and two days later we have our car back.
I have to say that I bought this car from a forum member, who also had bought it from another forum member in the (now) misguided belief that it would be a good car. To date the catalogue of expenditure is collossal including a blocked cabin filter that hadn't been changed for years (despite allegations to the contrary???), a new battery and four new tyres, I can't remember some of the other bits and pieces and now I notice rust coming through on a panel that was (again allegedly) replaced in the recent past.... This is really not a great MB experience for us and is quite honestly the most expensive car I have had to run and that includes the two Rolls Royce's that I have owned, however my wife loves the car and since having it checked out and sorted by, what I can only describe as some of the best Mercedes Benz specialists, it now drives nicely and goes like the wind, quietly and efficiently.
All in all a big thumbs up for HA Lock :thumb:
