Its amazing how fresh the design still looks though

Not really "all new" as it was shown as concept at the Paris Motorshow in 1996.

The F200 concept previewed some future technology but the most obvious feature to make it into production was the headlights which appeared on the W220 S-Class.

I'm not sure I like it, the boot looks like it might be hard to load, the front looks wrong to me. I like a steering wheel and why is the sat nav screen pointing at the passenger seat?

Saying that, if they need someone to test drive it for a year or two

Missing the point. They used the lights off that on the W220. The headlights were one of the few production features to appear from the car.

Sorry missed the 1996 date, yes make sense now. But thank god they didnt use the rear lights too!

Yuk. The front looks like the late 90's CL and the back is from the Peugeot 607.
