That 3 pointed bonnet star could do with a polish though

If you're a DIY type and like to do some of the maintenance yourself, Haynes publish a workshop manual for the W203 C Class. One of the few Mercedes models they do cover.

i love doing as much work as i can simply because i cant work due to poor health so i will look on amazon for the book. as for the star i presume a quality metal polish will work perfectly

Yes, any non abrasive metal polish will work fine.

I bought my Haynes Manual from flea-bay (think it was cheaper than Amazon)

The Haynes reference number is 4780. However, it doesn't cover AMG models. I noticed that yours has AMG alloys fitted.
