"THE CALL" A film by Pirelli WATCH IT AT YOUR PERIL!

Howard, your inbox is full... anyhoo; no need I've decided to tempt fate...

http://wwwhomes.doc.ic.ac.uk/~md103/All/mbc/pirelli_film_600.rm

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE right click and use save as... I'm hoping that as its "only" 45megs, the admins won't notice... I hope... I'll be taking it offline in a couple of hours so that they don't get too upset...

(oh, and I had to upload the real media version as for some odd reason the wmv version is acting weird and not "ending")

(for those of you who want to know how to save this, use a program called HiDownload; simple and effective)

Nice one Michele, glad you enjoyed the "mini movie". There will be sequels evidently. :D :D

I have another 3 months of college-hosted space :P

Theoretically, we have "unlimited" bandwidth, but in reality, the instant you make top-10, they aren't too happy :P

(I was helping in the distribution of a fan-made star-trek movie, 4.7Gb, several thousand requests a day... I was told it ended up using over 90% of the daily union bandwidth (was hosted on the union server as I didn't have enough space on my home directory) - wow they were unhappy :P:D )

Empty now ...

Couple of things; grober, I'm haven't had time to re-download the file to check it, but I have uploaded the wmv version... That worked before I uploaded it, so should (hopefully) work now...
http://wwwhomes.doc.ic.ac.uk/~md103/All/mbc/pirelli_film_600.wmv
fingers crossed...

Oh wait, that was one thing - ah well...

Second thing! I've just taken them both offline, and I'm reupping the wmv version. Anyone know of a public torrent tracker? (might be easier), I use demonoid and torrentleech, but those aren't public...

I take it that's a SL55 AMG from the sound and the brief glances of the front end? I particularly like the way all the traffic lights turn to green at the end. If only !!
Lucky Star reminded me of the Hong Kong film "God Of Gamblers". Basically the guy cannot lose a bet. IMHO if every gamble goes your way you shouldn't bother with an SL55 AMG try buying something risky like a TVR, the thing will start every time, even when it's raining! ;)

The trick with those counters at the casino hints at some kind of supernatural ability or maybe some cool technology in use and the traffic lights / helicopter malfunction looks like an EMP or something from that satellite (like goldeneye).

Either way I would have happily gone to see that film if it had ever been genuine and not just a marketing trick!

Hey! Thats odd, what I'll do is burn it onto a cd then transfer it straight from there onto the server (non of that SSH stuff); but you'll need to wait till wednesday (i.e. when I go anywhere near the server :P)

In the meantime, can I say one thing? Dial-up is scary... very scary! My broadband is aving troubles (kudos to blueyonder, they gave me a backup dial-up connection too fall back too for free...) but its scary... Now, I definetly see why I switched !

Broadband withdrawal

You will be getting broadband withdrawal symptoms. Dont feel you HAVE to sort this except for your own satisfaction.;)

BROADBAND! I feel like I'm back from the dead! Weee! <kisses the CAT5e cables coming out the back of the router>

On a side note, MAJOR kudos to blueyonder! They promised a tecchie to replace my modem on wednesday morning (8-12, not even the 8-20 some are used too) then called me back about an hour later (while I was out, a flatmate picked up and mumbled he had no idea what they were saying). When I get home there is a blueyonder van up my street (roughly where their router is). I call blueyonder back, they apologize saying I was the first to call in with a problem so they assumed I was the only one with a problem (kinda tells you how long I spend online) and that they had a tecchie outside "fixing it". Couple of mins later, my modem came back to life :)

(on a side note, I must say, it was a PAIN cancelling the call-out for wednesday... they took 3 details to get the guy to come, but to cancel it they needed MAJOR verification...)

As for the video... its more than personal satisfaction... now its personal...
