The cleanest R129 in the country?

That is stunning that was the car that I wanted when I was a 6 year old from seeing it at the NEC motor show in 1990 i think

I like how he tells prospective purchasers "Please note i will not take this car out of the garage if it is raining" :)

It's still a 5 owner car though ... may not have been as cherished before he got it.

Does it matter if its prestine?

"It's never seen water or rain".

Well, that's clearly a lie, you've washed it

It looks very nice indeed.

Probably worth the price premium he's asking for it if it really is as nice an example as he claims.

(assuming that it'll continue to be a garage queen with the next owner)

The car looks nice but the advert just rubs me up the wrong way.

For sale is my SL320 which has led a pampered and charmed life, mainly only being used as a second car through out its ownership history.
"Mainly only" a second car ?! How does he know how it was treated by all the previous owners? And how long has he actually had it (not that long, I suspect)?

alloy wheels which have been refurbished
So if it's never been driven in the wet, pampered etc., how come the wheels needed refurbing?

The tool kit, first aid kit and spare wheel are present and look unused.
What about the (standard) air deflector though?

Etc.

"Factory extras include, xenon lights, wood wheel and gearlever, power fold mirrors and panoranic roof".

Thought folding mirrors and Pano roof were std on all models after 1999?

True - but worth mentioning the spec in the advert as only R129 geeks like us would know this.

As far as I know, panoramic roof has always been an option. Xenons were standard on 500s at least from 1999 on.

What a truly offensive advert, I can see how it has wound so many of you up!!!

Love to buy that, but it would have to be raining so I could get it dirty on the way home, and do the kentucky drive through on the way back,so I could spend the next free day cleaning Jason's scent off it.

Really? I can only see one person on here who could maybe be described as being wound up by the advert :dk:

Right Headlight looks out of line to me.
