the day before its MOT this happens

So I have my w211 booked in for its MOT tomorrow but today I got the following error messages - 3rd break light faulty and right hand and left hand no' plate lights not working. Also boot will only open using the little metal key. So I am guessing its the wiring to the boot, probably poor or broken earth.
The question is on which side does the wiring go into the boot lid. Having looked at the boot I cannot see it and it looks a right pain to have strip out the boot linings so want to get the right side first go
If anyone has any ideas where and what to check that would be greatly appreciated

I had one front indicator Bulb fail on my s211 and i got nearly all those messages (didnt actually fail) the Contact end of the bulb was making a intermittent contact , new bulb sorted it all. "Just a glimmer of hope for you"

I'm guessing its a fault in or to the boot lid as its affecting four different things

It's a broken wire(s) between the bootlid and the car.

Mine was broken along the left hand hinge.

Easy repair, only cost £40 at my local garage.

Lewyboy is right - the wires rub as you open and close the boot. When they wear through you get the symptoms you describe - easy and cheap repair though. Only issue with mine was that it went at the beginning of a holiday - pain in the ar*#!!

thanks for all your help. Got to the boot lid loom today and found all the cover worn off and the earth wire snapped. A 2 min job with snap block and plenty of electrical tape and all's well. Re-booked in for MOT Sat morn
