wow, the end of cambelts and chains and as he said it will also do away with the large pulley and just need a flywheel counter weight/alternator pully instead, this should make balancing the engine much easier
 
Very interesting. Am surprised it has taken this long though considering how old the basis of the combustion engine has been around, which is essence hasn't changed
 
It's been around for years this system. I believe lotus were involved in development at the start of the idea about 15 years ago iirc.

I think f1 engines have this technology too.

Completely variable valve timing is very interesting stuff.
 
I believe Citroen are running a car with the compressed air system as well.
