I reckon you'll get pulled over 5 times a day ...... ;)

Nice to see another white car, they sure have a lot of 'road prescence' don't they !

What happend to the grill?

Hey Bro,, the way i was brought up, if you haven't something nice to say, say nothing at all wink wink,,,and i bet u dont get as many looks with the clk as u did with the se lol..

Jim,

Stay cool, you asked everyone what they thought, not everyone will like it ! as was said, the effort has the respect but its not to everyones taste..

Lots of people don't like mine either ...... as long as you like it , that's what counts ... isn't it ...

Personally, i would have gone with an avantgarde grille, but if thats what you like then its all good !

p.s. I like the Brabus reps !

Welcome to the forum ! (haven't seen you yet :P)

As for the "whiteness", Howard, wasn't Iyse's car white (before he defected to the porsche?)

GS, your front grill is interesting, I put something similar on my 202 (a "mesh" I bought at Halfords) but not for aesthetic reasons, my reason was that I kept getting bees, insects and pebbles stuck in my radiator... (lots of insects seem to have a suicidal wish in summer... especially on the M4 - those insects fly so fast, you wont see where they came from :P)

I must also say, thats an interesting choice of rims :) With SE (common, admit it, the car's HUGE) I've always liked monoblocks on the bigger mercs.

I'll be frank, though I'm not a fan of the bling/chrome theme, I don't bash it (hey, until 3 months ago I had underbody neons and vynils on my car, so I shouldn't be talking :P ).

But yeah, welcome to the forum :) Oh and you might want to search for a thread with the alloy pedal numbers, no idea if there are known numbers for the SE, but I have a feeling thats a mod you would like (think of all the cheap alloy pedal's on eBay. Now think ORIGNAL (MB made) alloy pedals, buy with a better price tag :) ) Also, try looking around for some pics of Iyse's ex-car. He had a white-202 with some chrome attached (and neons) which I think he just sold...

Michele

(oh yeah, ps, don' take offence from anything I say. I'm not bashing, just giving my opinion.)

There's certainly something about your car. I couldn't quite put my finger on it straight away, but I've finally sussed it. Its v. clean and shiny. Sparkling is probably a good term to use.:bannana::cool:

Whilst not a fan of the grill, I can tell a lot of effort has gone into getting the to this point, so respect for all the hard work!

Cheers Sparky

PS Welcome and check out some of the interior mods (chrome heater rings/gear box/switch rings you can get) might be of interest to add to those pedals already mentioned.

cheers..also have some shiny,chrome ,woody,shiny bits inside to..lol..............tnx for all input....cool forum

Welcome Jim. Your ride looks good. Lets have some more pics in the Gallery section including interior shots :) Good effort.

P-I-M-P! I kinda like it!

I think you will like KLP's SEC - have you seen it?

If you could get the stance of your car a bit more like this, it would be fantastic! I have nothing much against white, but on a car that size I think lighter colours work against you.

Thinking back to the Preston GTG (I think? one Ian B Walker organised) I attended, there were many Scottish members of this forum there - mostly 190 owners though I recall.

also does anyone know of an owners club in scotland

You only need one club:
This one:bannana: :bannana:

I agree with stats and anarchy-inc.

I'm more a fan of the standard oem look to be honest, but hats off for creating a look you're happy with!

Welcome to the forum as well. :)

Not a Bling fan. But he each to his own, welcome to the Best Forum.

The grill need some more finishing and the wheels need to be heavier and wider. Other than that it looks Ok.

I think thats quite nice, although as others have said its a bit blingy for my tastes.

Its certainly on the 'calmer' side of bling and mods though, just imagine how it would look if it had spinners, blacked out windows, chrome wheel arches, tailfin, side exit exhausts, K&N etc!

At least this guy has restraint :D
