In a different league to the old one in terms of ride quality, fixtures and fittings, kit etc. Much more economical (not that you buy an SLK55 for that), and sounds even better.

The Bengal Red seats are much less 'strident' than they appear in the images, the first image gives a much better representation.

The other half, who spends most of the time piloting it vigorously down the road, is pleased .......

Its a special order Designo Graphite with Bengal Red seats. Not easy to find an SLK55 in anything other than Black or Silver, so this one is a pretty rare combination I think.

The SL was always going to be a tight squeeze getting into and out of in the garage - it's wide and with very long doors. Going for another SLK was the cheaper option than buying a new house!! It was just a case of finding the right one

Can't beat an SLK55. The newer one certainly feels and performs better, but the look just doesnt do it for me - not as aggressive looking as the R171. I wish AMG had done more with it. Will probably wait and see what they do with the next gen. I like your choice of colour though, would probably be mine also.
