hi can anyone help ive just tried to chang thermostat on my 2003 320 cdi but the piece that has the electrical connection to it is stuck fast and now ive broke it my problem is i dont know what it is called or what it is.
very difficult to order part without knowledge thanks in advance

It may be the coolant temperature sensor. Can you post a pic?
