Changed thermostat today. Car for the first time in winter reaches 90 in five minutes!! Mpg up to the 50s, before 40s. Old stat looked as new inside but was stuck for good as verified by mechanic pouring a bucket of water that run straight thru. Anyway I would suggest if you even suspect the stat go change it no matter what dealer says
. I bought an original Behr from mb although the aftermarket one, Behr again, had stamped made in Germany on the side whereas the Mb one not..just the star and Czech republic on the plastic plug. Guessed it, I paid almost double price.
