Got a 250 cdi BE on a 59 plate in October. Broke down after 3 days. Said they'd fixed it. Broke down again in Feb. Told them to keep it. They agreed and provided a brand new one yesterday on a 10 plate, with £2500 of extras!

Just shows what MB are prepared to do to keep us happy!

Well done! I take it that you're now a "happy camper" ?

Nice result! what extras did you get?
Did you order a new one yourself or was this a cancelled order?

Has it broken down yet?

{sorry....}

result....

Jesus! There are some chap's that are truly lucky!!! Hope this time is for real!!!

Looks like you did well out of that deal.... I'm still waiting to hear from MB after I put my complaints politely into writing.......

Yeah, it feels like a great result. They are confident that the injectors are a new batch which won't fail.

The extras included the UMI which is absolutely ace; best sat nav I've used (including my previous Garmin Nuvi), and full ipod integration. Journeys are so much sweeter with all my tunes to keep me company!

The car also came with heated front seats to calcify my piles, and 18-inch AMGs which don't improve the ride but look sooo sweet!!

Oh and Parktronic or whatever they call it. Means I can park like a girl with no risk to paintwork. (sorry ladies)

Subject to err...no further breakdowns, I am indeed a happy camper!

Except.....fuel consumption will never ever ever hit 64.2 as advertised. Currently achieving 45 at best in "extra-urban" conditions. Don't know whether it would seem a bit ungrateful to moan further.

I probably will though.

Seems like a happy ending! Let's hope this one remains reliable.

Pictures?!

Tim

Sounds like a brilliant outcome. Enjoy the car.

MB will have no trouble selling your old one mind you but they will have lost out big time doing this.

Nice to see "customer service" at it's best.....well done:thumb:

But then legally I expect they had no option.....:D

What was wrong with the old car?

Injector failure James; once after 3 days, stranding me in the outside lane of the M23 (really!), and secondly after a month when it konked out in town, after they assured me they'd replaced the injectors with new ones.

This one feels nice, and bit perkier too.

Im in the same boat now, i was assured that all 4 injectors had been replaced, and guess what it failed again today..... I dont like being lied to, The Service Manager, deliberatly showed me the invoice to prove all injectors had been fitted. Like i say, either he was lying, or the new batch are faulty as well.....
