I would love one but headroom is a bit of an issue for me (from experience with an X plate CL500 I once sat in) - I'm 6'4" so that precludes quite a lot of cars for me.

Have you decided on a price you want for it yet?

I'm 6'2" 20 stones and I only drive mercs,specially s or cl nothing like it around space wise.How you didn't get enough headroom.When I adjust seat to lay low position I cannot reach steering wheel m8 :-0

i've been on the verge of selling the s600 biturbo for 6 months. However when i look at what its worth, what ive spent, how good it is now and what i can get with the money it will always be a step down, it makes me think this is so hard to part with so i havent so far. I need something to tow the horses, at the moment i use the sprinter which is scarey.
What can i get for 11k? That has 500BHP, 0-60 in 4.8 secs. Has full ipod integration, digital tv, dvds, all leather interior, near silence at 70mph seat 5 adults in comfort? A nearly new astra?

I just cannot understand people who goes to dealerships and spend 10k plus on a Zafira....you can get a 55 kompressor for that kind of money which used to be 100K car....and still is.

Because when a Zafira needs a new shock, it won't cost £2k to get it done, and a Zafira does 40mpg.

Think you are in wrong forum m8 - vx will welcome you.
Problem is on Zafira shock will go on a merc it will not.I never heard that on a w220 shock went bang-airmatic suspension (vx will they ever go that advance).Have you ever own a s class m8? I had 5 best cars ever built,trouble free LOL

Sorry - to clarify I mean headroom getting in and out.

I only just clear the roofline on the E55, thus avoiding cerebral hemorrhage - the CL definitely has a lower roofline and I would end up scalping myself.

Got ya.U right in and out not a pleasure but once you sink in - ok.
Yep they stand really low so yes e class better choice if that issue is annoying and it can be.

That is actually the single largest (no pun) reason I didn't buy an SM a couple of years ago. Too long for most garages.

Garages big problem in Uk - continent no probs can fit two cars easy in a normal size garage.In uk even t-shirt in xl size is like for a dwarf lol.

its the repairs and the fuel cost defo that depreciates the price.
However a 911 turbo has both these factors very high but doesnt suffer the massive depreciation. A 911 turbo costs about the same as a s600 but you couldnt get one same year for less than 50k. A s600 however good it is, does not have the wow factor a 911 has, or image. Its just a big mercedes in most peoples eyes, and 80% of population wouldnt know the difference between a s600 and a s280.

i had the exact same dilemma when i sold my CLK, and similar issues when i sold my 7 Series.....

time to sell i'm afraid and get someone else more suitable to suit your needs now.

you'll be able to get something similar once your current situation changes. I assume its kids etc - when they grow up you'll be able to get something else or buy a cheap fast 2nd car as a "toy".

how about an AMG 7 seater E class estate as a replacement.
