Thoughts on AMG copies / sourcing them

Hi guys first post so be kind.

I recently bought my 320 CLK which had an AMG-style 17" set on them but have potholed one maybe 2 and am having trouble finding individual replacements.

What are the general thoughts on these on the forum etiquette wise - and if replicas aren't too readily frowned on - does anyone have any ideas as to the best places to source them from. (Excluding the likes of eB)

Alright mate i know you said excluding flebay, but i just managed to find a set of 18" AMG replicas which had just been sandblasted for £150.

There's a member on here selling a nice set of original MB staggered AMG wheels to suit a CLK in the classifieds. Replica/fake wheels tend to be of poorer quality and probably more likely to become buckled etc.

This is the problem with replicas. Buy a set of original ones, better quality and easier to source a single one when needed.

Also worth checking ebay plenty on there too. You might find some newly refurbed ones like the below or you can always get them done yourself if you find some cheap second hand ones that are in in poor condition.

I have a set of 4 genuine 17" AMG wheels (propper staggered setup for CLK W208)

One needs a refurb to get rid of curbing marks so open to decent offers..
