Folks, after only a few months of E55 ownership Ive decided to sell it. Im selling the 911 too and wife's a class. I've already bought a cracking 928 gts but now am looking at the e55 kompressor or new 535d.

Any 535d owners on site? Is there a significant difference in performance between the old E55 and this one? The 535d or E55 k will be driven by the mrs on a daily basis so I need something that will be comfortable and have traction. She has a very heavy foot and struggled with the E55 so last thing I want is all family to have permanent whiplash.

Any thoughts?

Hello,

I was on a BMW forum (due to my last car being a BMW) several on there had 535d's remapped by DMS, and they were VERY rapid indead.

There is currently a nice looking one on Pistonheads.com

Saying that my ex boss had a E55 estate (new one) and that was seriously quick in a straight line with the optional 'G force seats' he had it just made me laugh at quick it was. He said 13 mpg was normal though so I guess you have to laugh:)

He joined P1 (or similar name cannot remember) to hire exclusive cars and recently had delivered a new 911 Turbo (997 ??) he had always wanted one, but after the merc he didn't actually like it. Too hectic and too many lights on the dash trying to use the power.

Don't know how the new E55 compares to the old but his felt VERY quick and almost relentlass power:devil:

cheers
