Time to say goodbye to "The Beast"

After nearly six years (the longest I have had any car), it is time for me to sell my beloved CLS500SB, now at 99,000 miles.

According to "How Many Left", there were only two registered in the UK and the other one hasn't been taxed since 2013.

I'm going to give it a wash and take some new photos hopefully before Storm Lilian hits us tonight, but to whet anyone's appetite the link to the photos from when I bought it are here: https://forums.mbclub.co.uk/media/albums/the-beast.1217/

As it is such a rarity and has such a huge list of extras, what do people think about listing it with Collecting Cars (as well as on here too, of course)?

Absolutely gorgeous. I'll be looking for similar, but in about 2 years

My recent experience of selling a rare big engined merc is they attract unbelievable time wasters so I'd bear that in mind...

It’s a stunning car, and exceptionally rare. For that reason Collecting Cars would be a wise move, although I’d think carefully about a reserve as winning bids often surprise - both well over and well under - what I might have expected.

It’s a sleeper which I’d love to give a home and comfortable retirement but I’m all out of storage space, and I either need to get busy building or convincing @BTB 500 that his barns would be better filled with my cars than his tractors
