Tinny filters

Hello! I see on this pictures this 2 tinny filters on the valve cover. What there purpose? On my C200 kompressor from 1997 can I put them on?

K&N or such like filters, all after market (along with turbo) probably makes it go 1mph faster.

Probably will make no difference to your current car...

They are a rather interesting mod to the breather system. it's supposed to vent into the crossover intake which would normally be under depression, but because the turbo is 'upstream' they can't vent into the intake at that point as it is under pressure.

A pipe should have been routed to the filter side of the turbo.
